Unlearning Together

IFS & RJ Listening Circles Cohort

❋ OVERVIEW

Exploring the cultural burdens we carry and the possibilities beyond them.

Sometimes the most important learning happens when we are willing to question what we have always assumed to be true.

Most of us inherited ways of seeing the world long before we had the opportunity to choose them. We learned what success looks like, who belongs, how conflict should be handled, what emotions are acceptable, and how much of ourselves we are allowed to bring into community.

Some of those lessons serve us well. Others continue to create disconnection from ourselves and one another.

Unlearning Together is a monthly listening circle for people who are curious about the stories, assumptions, and cultural habits they carry. Through guided reflection and restorative dialogue, participants are invited to explore how dominant cultural norms show up in their daily lives, relationships, workplaces, communities, and inner worlds.

This is not a class about having the right answers. It is a practice of slowing down long enough to notice what we have been taught, what we have internalized, and what we may be ready to release.

Each gathering offers space to:

  • Reflect on a dominant cultural characteristic

  • Explore how it shows up internally and collectively

  • Listen deeply to diverse experiences

  • Develop greater compassion for ourselves and others

  • Practice choosing from awareness rather than conditioning

Together, we create a space where curiosity is valued over certainty, listening is valued over debating, and growth is supported through community.
